Baruch College’s United Chinese Language Association hosted its annual Lunar New Year Festival on Feb. 25.

Regarding the Chinese calendar, 2019 is the Year of the Pig — the 12th animal that appears in the 12-year cycle.

Students honored this year’s zodiac sign by creating a short parody film called Pig Box, showcasing a mysterious force that decimates the world’s population on Chinese New Year with only one thing being certain: If someone sees it, they must give their money away.

The event consisted of numerous performances, including a dragon dance and YouTube singers Gaby Borromeo and CLARA. There was also a series of games in which members of the audience were called up to participate and the winning team won a prize.
