Salesforce Inc., a leading customer management company, signed an agreement to acquire the Israeli artificial intelligence startup Loops on Oct. 12. Salesforce provides software that helps businesses improve their processes by tracking sales, managing customer data and handling customer-service requests.
According to a case study on Salesforce’s customer, Publisher Wiley, Wiley, “sees 213% return on investment” as it implements Agentforce to answer questions about accessing accounts, resetting passwords and payment issues by directing users to relevant resources. Nevertheless, the acquisition of Loops will allow Salesforce to expand its machine learning capabilities and integrate them with its existing software.
For businesses, Loops aids companies with management decisions by helping them understand the factors driving results. Its technology identifies and analyzes changes in performance and provides feedback on which updates may be helping or hurting results.
Salesforce envisions that new AI-powered tools will help customers move toward becoming full agentic analytics enterprises. For Salesforce, its integration of Loops into Tableau will go beyond its current strategy, moving from insight to action in the flow of work.
The new data visualization and analytics features will monitor businesses’ performance indicators, explain why metrics change and identify improvement opportunities by leveraging machine learning models. Salesforce clients will be able to identify trends and explore unusual changes more quickly.
In a case study published by Loops, the AI-powered platform Atera improved conversion rates after receiving Loops’ insights on the primary cause of a performance decline. Its Release Impact analysis model measured changes in business metrics, enabling Atera’s team to learn rapidly from previous iterations and react accordingly to achieve success.
With a Salesforce integration, the insights that Loops can provide through tools like Slack can reduce manual analysis and help teams respond to problems and opportunities more promptly.
Although Salesforce states that it incorporates human rights into business decisions, the announcement of the Loops acquisition did mention the ongoing conflicts involving Israel.
Amid intense ethical questioning of U.S. business relationships with Israel, Loops will become the 10th Israeli company acquired by Salesforce. The company’s recent Israeli acquisitions include
OwnBackup for cloud-based data backup solutions, Doti AI for agentic enterprise search and Spindle AI for agentic analytics in 2025.
The U.S. free-trade agreement with Israel, which has been in effect since 1985, serves as the basis for increasing mutual trade and investment between the two countries. As Israel specializes in the creation of sophisticated technologies, such as AI tools, cybersecurity and other enterprise software, the U.S. benefits from investments and acquisitions by building substantial capital, partnerships and customer bases. Salesforce’s continued acquisitions of Israeli technologies, including Loops, illustrate the persistence of these investment ties amid the current conflict.
While the deal was estimated to be worth $30 million, Salesforce has not disclosed the final purchase price, but the company’s leadership is optimistic about the acquisition’s potential to reach more customers. According to Yahoo Finance, the deal is expected to close this November, during the company’s 2027 fiscal year.
