Hi everyone, it’s Joonwoo Kim, the Opinions Editor of The Ticker.
There are a lot of farewell letters in this issue, so I won’t waste your precious time; I’ll keep this one short and sweet.
Being the opinions editor hasn’t been easy, but I wouldn’t have it any other way. Being the one to mold writers’ articles into its finished form has been incredibly fun and rewarding.
I want to take a moment to thank everyone I’ve worked with at The Ticker. As an accounting major, it’s rare to be surrounded by so many people who are so excited about reading, writing and editing articles. It was a breath of fresh air and a nice change of pace. Your passion bled through every edited and published piece of work.
During my time here, I’ve met people from all walks of life, people I never would’ve had the pleasure of meeting unless I stepped into this office. I will cherish those moments of banter and mild bullying (towards me.) I hope we cross paths again.
Thank you to the writers for your dedication to The Ticker.
I know how much effort you put into these articles, so I just want to acknowledge your accomplishments. Without you, there is no newspaper.
