With the playoffs quickly approaching, teams continued to battle it out on the field in Week 12.

The holiday season started with an action-packed game, as the New York Giants and the Dallas Cowboys played on Thanksgiving Day. The Cowboys won by a score of 28-20.

Both quarterbacks, the Giants’ Daniel Jones and the Cowboys’ Dak Prescott, played well throughout the evening.  Prescott completed 21 of 30 passes for 261 yards with two touchdowns.  The Cowboy’s offense rushed 169 yards, with running backs Ezekiel Elliot and Tony Pollard having stellar performances.

Elliot rushed 92 yards and Pollard rushed 60 yards, propelling the Cowboys offense. Another key performer was wide receiver CeeDee Lamb, who had 6 receptions for 106 yards.

The Cincinnati Bengals secured a win over the Tennessee Titans, 20-16, in a contentious playoff rematch. Even though it is a new season, the game provided the same result with the Bengals defeating the Titans.

Bengals quarterback Joe Burrow completed 22 of 37 passes for 270 yards with one touchdown.  Burrow also rushed for 32 yards on nine carries as he continues to carry the Bengals to success this season.

The New York Jets provided fans with a dominant offensive and defensive performance en route to the 31-10 win over the Chicago Bears.

Jets quarterback Mike White completed 22 of 28 passes for 315 yards with three touchdowns in his start over Zach Wilson.

Jets wide receiver Elijah Moore caught his first touchdown of the season in the third quarter. Garrett Wilson also made a remarkable 54-yard touchdown, dodging the Bears defense downfield to help the Jets seal the home victory.

Wilson finished the game with five receptions for 95 yards and two touchdowns.

The Baltimore Ravens and the Jacksonville Jaguars played a close game that went down to the wire.

Jaguars’ quarterback Trevor Lawrence completed 29 of 37 passes for 321 yards with three touchdowns. Jaguars’ wide receiver Zay Jones led the team with 11 receptions for 145 yards, helping the Jaguars gain the one-point win at home 28- 27.

The New Orleans Saints suffered a major defeat against the San Francisco 49ers, getting shutout 13-0. Saints running back Alvin Kamara made two unfortunate fumbles, preventing the Saints from scoring. 49ers defensive end Nick Bosa secured his 11th sack of the season, crushing the Saints offense and sealing the 49ers victory.

The Philadelphia Eagles won again in Week 12 in their game against the Green Bay Packers, 40-33. Packers quarterback Aaron Rodgers suffered a rib injury, forcing him to make an exit during the game. Rodgers’ absence played in favor of the Eagles, as their quarterback Jalen Hurts completed 16 of 28 passes to secure a seven-point lead for the Eagles.

Week 12 brought excitement for the Carolina Panthers, who clicked offensively in their 23-10 victory over the Denver Broncos. Panthers’ wide receiver DJ Moore made 4 receptions for 103 yards.

With the season winding down, there are still several teams competing for only a few spots still up for grabs.
