Hulu hosted its second annual “Get Real House” event in Los Angeles on April 22, bringing together reality stars, hosts and creators to unpack a wave of announcements.
One of the most headline-grabbing reveals came from the TV show, “Dancing with the Stars.” DWTS hosts Alfonso Ribeiro and Julianne Hough announced that Maura Higgins from “Love Island” and “The Traitors US,” as well as Ciara Miller of “Summer House,” will be joining the celebrity cast for Season 35 and compete for the Mirrorball Trophy.
“I’m a strong believer in manifesting,” Higgins told the TODAY Show about being part of DWTS. “I had it on my vision board.”
DWTS also announced the debut of a spinoff, “Dancing with the Stars: The Next Pro,” where 12 contestants will compete for a professional contract to join the main series.
Season 34 DWTS champion Robert Irwin will host the new series and be joined by an experienced judging panel featuring Shirley Ballas, the head judge of “Strictly Come Dancing,” alongside her son Mark Ballas, a three-time DWTS champion.
“DWTS: The Next Pro” is set to premiere July 13 on ABC and will begin streaming on Hulu the next day.
Fans of the hit series, “The Secret Lives of Mormon Wives,” get ready to head west for “The Secret Lives of Mormon Wives: Orange County,” a spinoff of the beloved series.
The cast features influencers and new faces such as Bobbi Althoff, Madison Bontempo, Aspyn Ovard, Avery Woods, Salomé Andrea, Chandler Higginson, Ashleigh Pease and McCall DaPron, the sister of Mayci Neeley from the original series.
More notably, Jennifer Affleck from the original cast will be joining the spinoff, as shared in a video on her Instagram account. No official release date for “TSLOMW: OC” has been announced yet.
Another new addition to Hulu’s lineup is “The Mob,” a reality competition show set to premiere in 2026. According to Hulu, contestants will live in a “lavish Italian villa where they will shake down, hustle, and whack their way” to win cash prizes totaling $250,000.
Contestants include Maria Georgas from “The Bachelor,” Bruno Tonioli of DWTS, Demi Engemann from “The Secret Lives of Mormon Wives” and Harry Jowsey, who has appeared on numerous reality shows.
Khloé Kardashian introduced “The Girls,” a new reality series centered on her and her inner circle of friends. The show will follow their friendships and day-to-day lives, giving the world another look into the Kardashian life.
Meanwhile, Lisa Vanderpump announced that “Vanderpump Villa” will return with a season three reunion premiering on April 30, hosted by Vanderpump and Stassi Schroeder Clark.
Schroder announced her own reality series, “House of Stassi,” showing her life as a wife, mom, sister and television personality. “House of Stassi” will premiere on Freeform on July 29 and air on Hulu the next day.
Music fans can look forward to the “Travis Barker: Louder Than Fear” documentary. This deep personal film will show Barker reflecting on his career, life and the aftermath of surviving a near-death plane crash. It is set to premiere this summer.
The return of “Project Runway” was announced and will be hosted by Heidi Klum with 22 contestants, the most in the show’s history. The fashion competition will also have a crossover episode with “Dancing with the Stars.” Season 22 is set to air on July 9 on Hulu.
