Arsenal FC has been dominating both the Premier League and UEFA Champions League after defeating North London rivals Tottenham Hotspur FC and the undefeated Bundesliga rival FC Bayern Munich the same week. On Nov. 23, Arsenal hosted Tottenham at the Emirates Stadium for the North London derby.
Tension boiled during the summer transfer window over the signing of former Crystal Palace player Eberechi Eze. Arsenal hijacked the signing and bought back Eze for a fee of 60 million pounds plus add-ons.
At the age of 13, Eze was released by Arsenal and will now represent them in the clash against Tottenham. Arsenal is going through an injury crisis after the international break, and fans are wondering whether that will end Arsenal’s amazing run.The kickoff starts with Arsenal in control, leaving the Spurs in a difficult position trying to keep the Gunners from scoring.
In the 35th minute, Mikel Merino received the ball and looked for the next move.
He spoted Leandro Trossard, who controls the ball; he spun, shot and scored. Arsenal brings it, one-nil against Spurs, leading the North London derby. Eze scored in the 45th and 54th minutes. Spurs’ Richarlison de Andrade with a far-range goal brought the score 3-0. In the 75th minute, Arsenal counterattacked and the ball was loose. Trossard gained possession of it.
He crossed the ball into the middle and Eze took the ball. Eze, who needs one more goal, shot and scored 4-1, making this a hat trick and the very first hat trick in North London derby history since December 1978 by Alan Sunderland.

This is a team that has many Arsenal fans scared to face them due to their embarrassing defeats against them back in 2016 and 2017.
Arsenal is now prepared with strikers and a defense that was lacking last season. The game starts strongly, as this Arsenal looks promising. Not much happened till the 20th minute as Arsenal received a corner kick. Will Arsenal score a goal from a set-piece? Bukayo Saka kicked the ball to the middle, and it found Jurrien Timber. Timber sent the ball behind the net and makes it one-nil to Arsenal.
Set piece FC strikes again. In the 31st minute, Bayern went for the counterattack. Bayern defender goes for a long pass, Serge Gnabry takes control and spots Lennart Karl.
Without doing much work, he shoots it and makes it equal, 1-1. Leaving the game tied at halftime. Arsenal, struggling to score, found a chance.
Riccardo Calafiori, who just got subbed in, spotted Noni Madueke from a distance.
Madueke kicked it in a brings the score 2-1 Arsenal in the 69th minute. Arsenal is not done yet. Gabriel Martinelli went for the run as Eze spotted him and sent the ball flying ahead of Martinelli, knowing how fast the Brazilian is. Martinelli controlled the ball and goes past the goalkeeper on the halfway line.
Marinelli outpaced the defenders and scored the goal in his most iconic runs. Another goal for Arsenal in the 76th minute declared Arsenal the winners and on top of the UEFA Champions League. Arsenal fans are already chanting “Champions of Europe,” as no one can stop them. The Gunners will now face second-place Chelsea FC, who look promising in defeating the mighty Gunners.
