The world of job interviewing is now online. Ambiance, background and self-presentation remain a crucial part of building a first impression. One company has found a solution to help job-seekers best prepare for their very first interview.
Baruch College Adjunct Assistant Professor Paul Bailo created a website from his two books, “The Essential Digital Interview Handbook” and “The Essential Phone Interview Handbook,” for an online interview prep guide — Landit.AI.
Using artificial intelligence facial recognition, Landit.AI has a system to scan your face during a mock interview to score your emotional intelligence level.
“Over the last two years, I basically digitized the books and created a company called Landit.AI. And Landit.AI is really an AI-powered interview prep system, for phone, voice, digital and resume,” Bailo said.
Bailo also holds the patent on the “understanding of emotional intelligence” for phone, resume and voice.
“The funny part,” Bailo said. “We’re using AI to help people become more human.
On the website, users pay a one-time fee of $129, which gives them access to a gamified system that teaches them how to build their resume and be more prepared for interviews. They will also receive access to a PDF that explains everything they learned.
“There’s like different parks, there’s a quiz you have to take, after you pass the quiz with 80%, then you get to go into Boys Valley, you have a checkup sheet,” Bailo said.
“Then at the end of the day, we profile your voice, right? So, you could read a passage and we’ll tell you, you know, what you sound like, what you look like.”
Bailo said that he sees people from all different backgrounds and ages using Landit.AI, but his mission is to get the system to kids in all colleges.
He plans to give colleges a deal, where they could license the program and could access it for free through their school.
The company is still young, having only been operating for two years, but Bailo sees the future of Landit.AI being used in schools across the country.
