The WEVERSE app notified ARMYs about BTS’ Jungkook solo exhibition “GOLDEN: The Moments” on March 4. The exhibition would be exclusive to New York City, where fans would be able to visit from its opening on April 11 until its closing on May 11 at 30 Wall St.
The exhibition outlines Jungkook’s artistic venture, featuring a behind-the-scenes look at the creative process behind his music. The exhibit highlights his achievements, the emotions that have shaped his journey, and how his fans’ energy has supported him from a rising star to a global sensation.
There were photos of the global pop star sensation along the entrance to the trophy room. This room featured actual MAMA, Melon, and Spotify awards — to name a few. It was a great way to start the exhibition, highlighting awards he’s won as a member of BTS and as a soloist.
The following rooms were divided by the themes and concepts of his album: “Shine,” which is a reference to his celebrity persona; “Solid,” representing Jungkook as himself; and “Substance,” a mixture of everything in between — including his inspirations, motivations, and passion as an artist and person.
Each room was decorated to follow the themes and concepts, with pictures displayed on the walls and wall colors matching the aesthetic. Visitors could also see Jungkook’s outfits from performances, music videos, and album concept photos up close, as each room contained various mannequins dressed in his attire.
The exhibition featured more intimate experiences such as a dark room highlighting the soft piano ballad “Hate You.” Fans could wear headphones for a more immersive experience, where Jungkook’s vocals were isolated from the track — making it feel as if he were in the room himself.
Another room with velvet seats gave a movie theater-esque feel as the screen played “Standing Next To You,” “Seven,” and “3D (feat. Jack Harlow).” His microphones and in-ear monitors were also on display.
The last two rooms offered a behind-the-scenes look at his music videos and performances, including his notable pop-up performance at the TSX Stage in Times Square.
At the end of the exhibition, a white wall awaits, where visitors can write their wishes to Jungkook. The wall will be directly shipped to him after the exhibition ends.
Merch was available at the end of the exhibition. The event runs until May 11 to give fans plenty of time to have the golden experience.
