Happy spring break Bearcats, it is now time for a true reset and rest.

Congratulations for making it this far into the semester and school year; there is a little over a month left and that is it. I hope you are all excited to enjoy the break we have ahead.

If you are planning on traveling on the week off, make sure to stay safe and take the proper safety precautions during your travels. It is always handy to carry a little portable hand sanitizer around wherever you go.

If you are planning to stay in the city there is still plenty to do while you have a little time off.

At the very beginning of our break on April 17, there will be an Earth Day Bazaar filled with shops and local artists showing off their talents from jewelry, fashion, furniture, art and so much more. All profits are donated to local public schools, so it is a great way to support a charitable cause and spend your day well.

Make your way over to Grand Bazaar NYC from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. to enjoy.

Ready to jump into spring and fall into some flowers? Head over to the New York Botanical Garden in the Bronx to “Walk the Orchid Show” by floral designer Jeff Leatham. There is a wide variety of colorful orchids and a gorgeous kaleidoscope tunnel display. I think it is truly a gorgeous place to visit and it is open until May.1.

And if you are interested in speeding it up a bit, you can check out the International Auto Show at the Javits Center. You can find new concepts of futuristic vehicles, luxury sports cars and even some vintage. For any auto enthusiasts out there, I think this might be just for you.

If you are looking to walk through some museums throughout the city, make sure to check the official NYCdata list. CUNY students have free admissions to museums like the Frick Collection, the Whitney Museum of American Art, the Intrepid Sea, Air & Space Museum, the Metropolitan Museum of Art and more.

I hope you are all able to enjoy this week off and get to rest and recharge to wrap up the rest of the year and finish strong. Whether you have more introverted or extroverted tendencies, remember to recharge the way that you need.
