Blake Lively’s attorneys added 48 pages to the lawsuit against Lively’s “It Ends With Us” co-star Justin Baldoni. Minutes before the court deadline of midnight on Feb. 18, the amended complaint added that two women on the set of “It Ends With Us” were also made “uncomfortable” by Baldoni during the production of the film.
The two women who are alleged victims of Baldoni’s harassment have remained unnamed. However, the complaint states that these two women are prepared to come forward and testify about their experiences.
The complaint emphasizes that Ange Giannetti, the Sony production executive, was made aware of the discomfort Lively and other women felt on “It Ends With Us.”
The two women mentioned in the complaint are actresses Jenny Slate and Isabela Ferrer, allegedly, but the filing does not name the actresses, according to The Hollywood Reporter.
Neither actress has commented since the new complaint was filed; however, in the past, actress Jenny Slate has made her support for Lively clear.
“As Blake Lively’s castmate and friend, I voice my support as she takes action against those reported to have planned and carried out an attack on her reputation,” Slate said in an exclusive statement to TODAY.
Lively’s new filing also added a defamation claim against Baldoni and his team. The defamation claim accuses Bryan Freedman, an attorney for Baldoni, of making retaliatory statements in response to Lively’s initial complaints.
The claim states that Baldoni and his team used social media “to drive negative sentiment against Ms. Lively and anyone who supports her or speaks out against Mr. Baldoni.”
In response to Lively’s revised complaint, Freedman said this revision is “filled with unsubstantial hearsay of unnamed persons who are clearly no longer willing to come forward or publicly support her claims.” Freedman also claimed Lively lacks evidence for her allegations.
In light of this escalating legal battle, public support has remained strong for Baldoni. On TikTok and other social media platforms, individuals have called out Lively through comments and in-depth video essays.
The general reaction from the public echoes Freedman’s statement that Lively has no evidence to support her amended complaint, with some online even going as far as to say that the new 48 pages have added nothing to the legal case.
