Students were given t-shirts to personalize with neon paint and tables covered with black tablecloths were also used as canvases for creative expression.
“Inviting Baruch students to engage with art, to take creative risks, to paint, to laugh, to dance and just enjoy art and what it means,” was one of the main purposes behind the event said Basil Harding, a USG representative senator.
Emmanuel Oladejo, Chair of the Arts Committee, summarized the process of planning the event by setting it up as a blueprint, considering what the Baruch community would love and what would bring the artistic side out of everyone.
The planning paid off as students recognized and complimented the event.
“My favorite part was painting the table and the neon colors, that was amazing,” student Chelsi Hurst said.
Another student noted the music and atmosphere of the event.
“My favorite part was probably all the music, and like the vibes in general, like the vibes were it tonight,” attendee Labia Hussain said.
