As 2024 and the election end, it seems fitting to take a brief postmortem look at Vice President Kamala Harris’s campaign and conclude with a discussion about the incoming Donald Trump administration.
Harris was a terrible candidate put in a terrible situation. Those with sympathetic hearts may even be moved to pity. After all, she was left with the task of trying to defend the actions of the Biden administration while simultaneously distancing herself from Biden to craft an image of herself as a bold new leader.
Harris struggled to articulate substantive policy positions and was hilariously unlikeable even among die-hard democrats. Also, she couldn’t even sit down for a full interview with CBS without it being heavily edited.
Trump, on the other hand, won a convincing victory and has already spent time negotiating with world leaders.
In fact, there might be some promising deals on the horizon, with Trump offering to negotiate a ceasefire between Hezbollah and Israel.
The nominations Trump has put up for his administration are promising and full of youth so far, and we are seeing an incredibly positive development in the new right.
