Among students lining up to play games, eat food and just listen to music were students studying abroad at Baruch who seemed to have found a home at AIESEC’s event.
Achury also cleared up a common misconception about AIESEC, stating that students don’t need to become members to go abroad.
“I wanted to show everyone what you can do and what you can learn,” Achury said.
Opportunities to explore are always at students’ fingertips and even though joining the organization can help, what ultimately boils down to fulfilling the SDGs is personal desire to enact change.
