Greetings Bearcats,
As Albany Caucus Weekend approached, Baruch’s Undergraduate Student Government reflected on our successes at the 53rd Annual Black, Puerto Rican, Hispanic and Asian Legislative Caucus in Albany. From Feb. 15 to Feb. 18, the USG team networked with legislators, attended workshops and advocated for CUNY funding. We were excited to build upon this momentum and continue representing the interests of Baruch College students at this prestigious event.
During the Legislative Caucus, USG delegates amplified student voices in Albany as we engaged with state legislators and policymakers to address critical issues facing Baruch students. Issues such as affordability, accessibility and campus resources were at the forefront of our discussions. Our advocacy efforts were fueled by our commitment to ensuring that every Bearcat had the opportunity to thrive.
At Albany Caucus Weekend, USG representatives proudly showcased the excellence of Baruch College. From highlighting our academic achievements to celebrating our rich diversity, we demonstrated why Baruch is a standout institution. Our presence in Albany was a testament to the strength and resilience of the Bearcat community.
As we wrap up the Albany Caucus Weekend, we are grateful for the support of our dedicated team, including VP of Legislative Affairs Khairun Nisa and the entire USG e-board. With the Baruch Office of Student Life, we were committed to making a difference and advocating for policies that benefited the students.
Stay tuned for more updates on our activities and accomplishments. Your involvement and support are essential as we continue to represent your interests at all events.
Warm regards,
Jessica Yauri
USG President
